Middleton Community Church UCC

Middleton Community Church UCC installed a 20 kW solar system (62 panels) on their church roof in May 2016.  In a little over five years, that has saved the church an estimated $15,590 in electricity bills, as well as saving the world 38 metric tons of CO2 emissions.  The church has an active Green Team which hosts environmental book discussions, movies and videos, puts eco-tips into church newsletters and bulletins, has an information table at church, and recently led an Earth Day Challenge contest.  The church has also added a bike rack, converted to LED lighting, and switched to reusable dishes and coffee mugs.
